Description:
Bypass Tunnel of B14 for the city of Winnenden near Stuttgart with two 2-lane tubes. The length of each tunnel is 380m in cut & cover section and 660m in mined construction of approx. 90m2 cross section.
Technology:
NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) sequential method drill and blast as well as excavator.
Additional information:
Four cross connections and a water retention basin were also part of the project. An emergeny bay, niches and built in components were constructed due to recent safety standards. The contract of STI contained the whole excavation and final concrete lining works.
